Long View Farm

Updated: Jan 22

Gunther and Betty Fischer are the proud owners of Long View Farm, where they cultivate two acres of chemical-free vegetables, fruits, and flowers as part of their diversified family farm, established in 1944.

Their produce offerings range from asparagus to zinnias and include a wide variety of crops: four types of potatoes, six types of onions, multiple garlic varieties, shallots, tomatoes, cucumbers, hot and sweet peppers, leafy greens, squashes, and even chestnuts in the fall. Each year, Gunther experiments with new vegetable varieties, incorporating unique Italian, Asian, and French selections into their garden.

Betty complements their fresh produce with a delightful assortment of homemade jellies and jams crafted from fruit grown on their farm.

As founding members of the Atchison Farmers’ Market, Gunther and Betty have been dedicated participants since its inception in 1998. You can find Long View Farm at the market every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and most Wednesdays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

We accept SNAP and KSFMNP coupons.
