Become a vendor

Generally, all 24 of our vendor stalls are full each year; however, openings do occur. If you are a farmer, rancher, baker, or food truck who would like to apply for our next opening, please read through this page carefully

Product Categories allowed at Atchison Farmers' Market

Fresh agricultural items such as fruit, vegetables, edible grains, nuts, fresh plants, fresh flowers, eggs and government-inspected FROZEN meat.

Processed foods such as dried fruits and vegetables, honey, baked goods, tortillas, salsa, jams and jellies.

Prepared foods and beverages that can be consumed at the market such as coffee, tea, popcorn, and sandwiches.

Value-added versions of items already produced by vendors such as pepper and herb-infused vinegars (edibles) and goat milk products (non-edibles)

How to apply

To apply as a vendor, follow these steps carefully. If you have questions or concerns please email the AFM Treasurer.

The AFM Vendor Application process will begin on March 15, 2025.

1. Read rules & regulations

When you apply you will need to initial and date the bottom of each page to confirm you understand and agree to abide by the policies.

2. Obtain a Kansas Retailers' Sales tax Certificate

If you don’t already have one, apply for a Kansas Retailers’ Sales Tax Registration Certificate. Include a copy with your application.

3. Understand Legal Requirements for Your Products

4. Complete the Vendor Application 

  • Fill out the 2025 Vendor Application.

  • Include the signed and initialed AFM Rules & Regulations.

  • Attach all required documentation, including the Kansas Sales Tax Certificate.

  • Submit your completed application online. Submit your vendor application payment to the address listed at the bottom of Page 3 of the Online Vendor Application.

5. Board Review

Your application will be reviewed by the AFM Board. Once a decision has been made, you will be notified of your status.

6. KSFMNP Vouchers (Optional)

  • If you sell fruits, vegetables, or honey and wish to accept Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (KSFMNP) vouchers, you must:

  • Be trained and authorized by KDHE by June 1, 2025.

  • Ensure compliance with program rules, which restrict voucher use to fruits, vegetables, and raw honey only (baked goods, meat, and other products are not eligible).

Stall Details

  • AFM features 24 vendor stalls across two pavilions, with stalls measuring approximately 10’ x 20’.

  • Pavillion stalls offer protection and visibility for your products.

  • Food truck spaces are separate and require vendors to provide their own generator.

Market Fees

Pavillion stall fees:

Whole season: $100

Single day: $20*

*Wednesdays only. After 5 days, full season rate is paid.

Food Truck fee:

$150 per season; $35 per day, up to maximum $175 (5 payments of $35 each)
